College Coaches Youth Baseball Camp
3rd Annual Sunday, December 7, 2008 At Ralston Valley High School Arvada, Colorado Ages 6 to 12  The 3rd Annual College Coaches Youth Baseball Camp will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Ralston Valley High School in Arvada. The camp will feature Creighton University Assistant Coach Rob Smith, Purdue University Assistant Coach Ryan Sawyers, University of Kansas Assistant Coach Kevin Frady, Iowa Assistant Coach Kris Welker, Creighton University Assistant Coach Brent Alwine, Sam Houston State University Assistant Chris Berry, Lamar Community College Assistant Coach Zach Druce and Garden City Community College Assistant Coach Jay Gundy.Camp Instruction The pitching sessions will feature two hours of professional instruction and will focus on the proper techniques in regards to: balance throughout the delivery; correct body direction to home plate; sound front-side mechanics; proper grips and hand placement on the ball; teaching young pitchers arm action; arm care for the young pitcher. The hitting sessions will feature two hours of professional instruction and will focus on the proper techniques in regards to: set up and positioning at the plate; proper bat grip; stride distance and timing; proper swing plane; correct weight transfer and balance at finish. We will work these fundamentals through drill work and live hitting in the batting cage. All camp sessions will be interactive and open to parental participation. We strongly encourage parents to listen in on drill work and participate with their child so they can get the most out of the opportunity. Coaches will also be available if you have any questions. Registration Information Please note that the camp quickly filled last year. Space is limited, therefore refunds will only be given if requested by November 14, 2008, minus a 25% tuition service fee.
